Ravi Jain Sinha

Ravi Jain Sinha

Currently studying mathematics and economics, Ravi has been involved in nearly every aspect of campus life. His activities have included: working as senior advisor to the Multicultural Business Association, helping establish the Residence Hall Leadership Organization as a founding executive board member, working in the Asian Community as former Vice President of Club Zamana, and contributing as the former philanthropy chair of Beta Theta Pi and IFC representative. Additionally Ravi has served as President of Columbia College Student Council for the Class of 2017 and has previous experience managing committees, funding, and the development of CCSC initiatives.

Elena Marron McGahey

Elena Marron McGahey

An American studies major and Statistics minor, Elena is a member of the Women’s Rowing Team, Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and sorority Sigma Delta Tau. She serves on the Executive Board of the Double Discovery Center as Club Coordinator and occasionally works with Jim McMenamin to provide tours for the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs.

Olivia Rose Barry

Olivia Rose Barry

Liv is a Sustainable Development Major from New York, NY. At Columbia she is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and Columbia Bartending Agency, but has also been involved in Columbia Undergraduate Housing Board and EcoReps. Livi loves traveling and the outdoors, and is also a big foodie and sports fanatic. Post-grad she is looking to travel for a bit and then find a job anywhere but the United States.

Aranya is an Economics and Philosophy major from London. Throughout her time at Columbia she has been involved with Club Zamana and the Columbia Debate Team (where she served on the Executive Board). Last spring, she studied abroad in Melbourne, Australia. She is thrilled to be a member of Senior Fund!

Brian Sarfo

Brian is a Urban Studies Major from New York, NY. At Columbia, He's the Co-Chair for the Office of Multicultural Affairs Black Family Tree, a Columbia College Student Ambassador, and a Black History Month organizer. He's also a winner of the Inclusion & Advocacy King's Crown Leadership Excellence Award. 

Taylor Marie Fogg

Taylor Marie Fogg

Taylor is a senior who comes from Colorado Springs, CO majoring in Psychology with a Special Concentration in Business Management. Her career aspiration is either sports medicine or pediatrics.  She has interned at hospital clinics and an emergency department, as well as DNA and human performance labs during non-school time. During the academic year, Taylor’s activities have included Varsity Women’s Rowing, Kappa Alpha Theta, HEART Columbia, Read Ahead, RHLO, and she is a Coke Scholar. Favorite off time activities include: travel, triathlons, hiking (especially 14ers), yoga, baking, hockey games, puns, country music, and eating. Fun fact, Taylor just completed her first Ironman triathlon this summer and after graduation will be competing at the Ironman World Championship in Kona during Fall 2017.

Sonia Parekh

Sonia Parekh

Sonia is a senior at Columbia College majoring in Economics. Raised in Singapore and Connecticut, she spent her high school years in Singapore. Over the past four years, Sonia has been an active member of the Multicultural Business Association, Lion Fund and a sister of the Sigma Delta Tau Sorority. After graduation she will be working at Credit Suisse in New York. She loves frozen yogurt and playing tennis. 

Shivaan Bimal Thakkar

Shivaan Bimal Thakkar

Shivaan is a senior majoring in Financial Economics and concentrating in Math at Columbia College. He's originally from Mumbai, India. On campus he's a Resident Assistant at Carlton Arms, has previously been part of the Columbia Daily Spectator and Club Zamana, and can't wait to be on the Senior Fund committee! In addition to the above activities, he volunteers every Sunday for the soup kitchen at St. John the Divine. In his free time, Shivaan enjoys playing soccer, swimming, and reading philosophical texts.

Rebecca Claire Fisher

Rebecca Claire Fisher

Becca Fisher is an American Studies major with a concentration in Women’s Studies.  She is a graduate of Cherry Hill High School East in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, but has recently lived in Orlando, Florida and Washington, DC. At Columbia, she is an active member of Sigma Delta Tau, Orchesis Dance Troupe, and Hillel, and last spring, she studied abroad in Prague, Czech Republic. Becca is thrilled to be a part of Senior Fund, and is looking forward to a memorable senior year!

Makeda Hannah Yohannes

Studying Political Science and American Studies, Makeda Yohannes is a Senior Editor for the Columbia Political Review and serves as a Research Fellow in the Laboratory of Intergroup Relations and The Social Mind. With a passion for public policy, Makeda hopes to use her academic and professional experiences to empower communities on campus and globally.

Celia Dunay Frick

Celia Dunay Frick

Celia is from Chester, NJ.  She is majoring in Financial Economics, and is also a captain of the Women's Swim Team.  After graduation, Celia will be working as a Financial Analyst at PepsiCo.  

Hala Moussawi

Hala Moussawi

Hala studies financial economics and math, and is from Beirut, Lebanon. She is a licensed programmer on KCR (news & arts), and co-founded HeForShe on campus, a gender equality movement. Post-grad she hopes to find a job in the financial services &/or in consulting.

Fun facts: Hala is a photographer and also speaks four languages.

Chris is am a member of the Varsity Men's Basketball team and is really excited about the upcoming season as well as Senior Fund. Chris is majoring in Economics-Mathematics and is from Ottawa, Ontario (Canada).

Fun fact: Chris loves music, especially playing the guitar and recording music.

Christina Gia Park

Christina is from Atherton, CA and is studying Political Science at Columbia College. On campus, she serves as the Director of Advocacy and Policy for the Residence Hall Leadership Organization (RHLO) and as a tour captain for the Undergraduate Recruitment Committee. She is also involved in the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) and Gamma Phi Beta. After graduation, Christina is hoping to stay in the city and work for a tech company.

Joy comes to Columbia from Irvine, CA where she attended the CA Sage Hill School. At Columbia, Joy studies Sociology and is pre-dental. She's the president of sorority Sigma Delta Tau as well as a member of the Varsity Archery Team and ResLife.

Allison grew up in Roslyn Heights, New York but moved to Manhattan when she started high school. At Columbia, she studies visual arts. She has also been involved in a variety of extracurriculars including the sorority Sigma Delta Tau, Bacchanal Committee, and Now!Here Magazine.

Katie is a double major in Econ and Psych with a concentration in Business. Born and raised in NJ, she is also a TA for Science of Psychology, as well as a member of the Field Hockey team.

Maria Monserrat Martinez

Maria is originally from Guanajuato, Mexico, but grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas. At Columbia, she is pursuing a degree in Urban Studies as well as a concentration in Economics. On campus she is actively involved in Kappa Alpha Theta and the Columbia College Alumni Association. In her spare time, she enjoys watching TED talks or going on runs through Central Park.

Lindsey Remark is a CC senior majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior. She is very proud to be part of the Columbia community and loves being involved in different groups that allow her to showcase her Columbia spirit, like Senior Fund. On campus she is also involved in the Columbia Student Ambassadors, Columbia Cheerleading, One-to-One tutoring, Charles Drew Pre-medical Society, and Delta Gamma Sorority.

On campus she is involved in neuroscience research, One-to-One Tutoring, the Columbia College Student Ambassadors, and the Columbia University Cheerleading Team.
