SENIOR FUND EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Sara is double-majoring in Psychology and German Literature and pursuing the pre-medical concentration. She was the President of the Columbia Organization of Rising Entrepreneurs, one of the university's largest student organizations, and runs her own science education company called Blue Moon Box, which won Columbia's venture competition in 2016. She is also an Investment Partner at Dorm Room Fund, where she invests in student-founded startups. In her free time, she studies the psychology of decision making and loves learning languages. She is from New York City.
Maya, originally from Los Angeles, is majoring in Financial Economics. On-campus, Maya is also President of the Columbia Investment Banking Division and Senior Adviser & Founding Member of 1ForTheWorld Columbia, a non-profit. After graduation, Maya will be joining Barclays in the Investment Banking Division.
Emily Lavine is a psychology major and pursuing a career in teaching after graduation. Outside of Senior Fund, Emily is the senior class Vice President and the philanthropy chair of Columbia College Student Ambassadors. In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with friends, obsessing over her dog, and going to Zumba classes.
Gurnoor Tucker studies Economics and History. Throughout his time at Columbia, he's held leadership positions across political and community activist groups, student government, and pre-professional organizations. Gurnoor is also a 4-year dancer with CU Bhangra. Outside of school, Gurnoor enjoys barhopping, watching sports, discussing politics, and micro-analyzing hip-hop music.
Pauline is a History and Religion major from Utah. During her time at Columbia she has held internships at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Jewish Museum, and other museums. This last summer she was an intern at Petra National Trust in Jordan with the CEO Amman Program. On campus she sings with the Barnard-Columbia Chorus and loves to explore the art community around New York!
Michael is a History major and a graduate of Riverdale Country School in the Bronx. In addition to his work with the Columbia College Fund, Michael serves as President of the Columbia College Student Ambassador, on the Advisory Committee on Socially Responsible Investing (ACSRI), and on the Columbia College Alumni Association Board of Directors. After graduation, Michael will be moving downtown (closer to the city's best Italian restaurants) and working for RBC Capital Markets.
Daphne is a senior studying Psychology and Business Management. On campus, she is involved in Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and Psi Chi. During her free time, she enjoys ceramics and fishing.
Megan Grant is a psychology major from Santa Barbara, CA majoring in psychology. She comes from a big family which is apparent from her love to be around people and friends!
Kaitlin is a senior in the College studying American History and French & Francophone Studies. After spending her freshman summer in Paris taking Art and Music Humanities at Reid Hall, Kaitlin split her junior year between London in the fall on the CU in London program, and Paris in the spring at Reid Hall. On campus, Kaitlin is a member of the Columbia Women’s Business Society, the Undergraduate Recruitment Committee, Class of 2018 Senior Fund and OGP Peer advisors. In addition, Kaitlin has volunteered for the Consulate General of France and interned at ABC News, PepsiCo, the United States Senate, an education non-profit, and a corporate law firm in New York City.
Nick is an English and Financial Economics major hailing from Arlington, Virginia. Alongside Seniors for the Columbia College Fund, Nick serves as President Emeritus of the Men’s Club Waterpolo team, treasurer of Order of Omega, and as Academics Chair of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Post graduation, Nick will be taking his talents to midtown to work for Morgan Stanley.
Kara is studying History and Economics, and is pursuing a Master of International Affairs at SIPA with a concentration in International Finance and Economic Policy. On campus, she is president of ThinkIsrael and has served as treasurer for Columbia Women’s Business Society and Sigma Delta Tau. As a junior, Kara studied at Bocconi University in Milan. In her free time, Kara enjoys visiting museums and traveling.
Jiyoon is a senior in Columbia College studying East Asian Studies and Economics. She was born in South Korea but grew up in New Jersey since the age of nine. On campus, she has led CU Liberty in North Korea and Columbia Global Microfinance Brigade in Honduras as Vice-President and President, respectively. Off campus, she enjoys going to museums and shows - currently looking for cool volunteer opportunities.
Jahan is a senior studying Sustainable Development. She is a senior editor for the Columbia Political Review, a student representative for the Transportation Focus Group and a member of Delta Gamma.
David is a Senior from Evanston, IL studying Political Science and Film Studies. He was President of Columbia/Barnard Hillel last year, is an editor for Double Exposure: Columbia's Undergraduate Film Journal, and is a member of the Undergraduate Recruitment Committee. He enjoys a good nap.
Sam is a Financial Economics major originally from Northern California. In addition to his involvement in Senior Fund, Sam serves as Recording Secretary of Phi Gamma Delta, Chair of the Inter-Greek Council Judicial Board, President of the Lion Financial Advisory Group, Senior Adviser to the Columbia Investment Banking Division, Managing Director of Lion Fund Capital Management and a member of the Columbia College Student Council Finance Committee. Previously, Sam served as Executive Vice President of the Columbia Investment Banking Division and Philanthropy Chair of Phi Gamma Delta. In his free time, Sam enjoys playing tennis and practicing percussion. After graduation, Sam will be joining Morgan Stanley in the Investment Banking Division.
Sidarth is a Senior in Columbia College from Chicago studying Political Science and Business Management. His previous experience includes internships in venture capital and investment banking, and following graduation will join Stripes Group as a growth equity investor. Sidarth is an active member of the Columbia community and has held leadership roles in his fraternity, Phi Gamma Delta, Columbia Global Microfinance Brigades and on the Columbia University Senate Student Affairs Committee.
Alex Swanson is a Classics major from London, England. Outside of Senior Fund, he is President Emeritus of FIJI fraternity, Editor-in-Chief of The Blue and White, and a leader in COÖP.
Violet Victoria is a double major in Political Science and Native American Studies in CSER. She is involved on campus as a Co-Chair for the Columbia Mentoring Initiative's Indigenous Family Tree and a member of Columbia's Native American Council and Mixed Heritage Society. Outside of school, she is Executive Director for the non-profit organization alterNATIVE Education, which runs week-long college prep programs in reservation communities across the United States.
