Jordan Cline, Co-Chair
Jordan is a psychology major and pursuing a career in financial services, specifically interested in social and impact investing. Outside of Senior Fund, Jordan is on the Leadership Team of the Undergraduate Recruitment Committee (the campus tour guides), a Leadership Council Member in the Barnard-Columbia Peer Health Exchange Chapter, a member of #|SHARP A Cappella, and heavily involved with the Office of Multicultural Affairs through Under1Roof. His greatest passion is aiming to provide equitable education and opportunity for all students. Jordan is also a major foodie and restaurateur!
Emily Gruber, Co-Chair
Emily studies history and classics and spent her junior fall semester at the University of Oxford as a Columbia College Oxbridge Scholar where she was selected for the Oxford Union committee. On campus, Emily serves as Vice President of the Columbia Political Union and Philanthropy Chair of Columbia College Student Ambassadors. Planning to attend law school, Emily has interned with the United States Department of Justice, the Office of the New York State Attorney General, and Columbia’s Eric H. Holder Initiative for Civil and Political Rights.
Iyobosa Bello-Asemota, Fundraising/Stewardship Chair
Originally from Lagos, Nigeria, Iyobosa is double-majoring in Hispanic studies and economics-philosophy. On-campus, she is also Programming Co-Chair of the Columbia College Student Ambassadors and Co-Head of the Black Pre-professional Society's Mentoring Initiative. After graduation, she will be joining Morgan Stanley in the Investment Banking Division. In her free time, Iyobosa enjoys listening to reggaetón, singing classical music, and reading about Behavioural Finance and investing.
Grant Der Manouel, Events Chair
Grant is an Urban Studies major with a special concentration in Business Management. He is involved in a variety of campus organizations, including the Undergraduate Recruitment Committee, Barnard-Columbia Design for America, and NSOP. He brings experience with events through his ongoing work as the Head of Events for the Class of 2019. When not busy with school, Grant loves to spend time with friends, travel, and watch the Office. After graduation, he plans on continuing to work in the real estate field.
Sebastian Espinosa, Marketing Chair
Sebastian is known for refusing to abide by the rules and giving sick high-fives. He is a history major with a concentration in business management, but passionate about art, economics, and culture. He spent his spring semester studying abroad in Hong Kong and traveled to 10 countries, but had to leave one (Malaysia). On campus he is in Sigma Nu, RHLO, and the line at Butler Cafe. Off campus he can be found at the Met, the IFC arts cinema, or at Saiguette on 106th and Columbus. He recommends getting the ‘Grilled Lemongrass Pork Shoulder Banh Mi’ which he promises is authentic, excellent, and affordable. He also recommends Cafe Piccolo on 75th and Amsterdam for a more romantic evening.
Hari Patel, Leadership Gifts Chair
Hailing from Massachusetts, Hari is a financial economics and statistics major. At Columbia, Hari is also President of Lion’s Fund Capital Management, LLC and a member of phi gamma delta. Hari is excited to bring his finance experience to the Senior Fund.
Pranav is studying economics-mathematics and computer Science and has just returned after a semester abroad at Oxford. Over the past couple years, Pranav has been excited about applying data analytics and data-driven strategy to various industries such as finance and fundraising analytics for the Hillary Clinton and De Blasio campaigns, strategy positioning IBM Watson in the accessibility market, consulting for the Department of Defense to optimize processes that handle disabled service members, and various other efforts for campus organizations and local social enterprises in the NYC area. Outside of work, Pranav is an avid skier (part of Columbia's Ski Team), recreational tennis player, and takes an active part in Columbia programs fostering community among new students, first-years, and alumni.
Although born and raised in Turkey, Ayda is a sociology and political science major residing in the Bay Area since high school. On campus, she is an RA at Watt Hall, and is involved with the Columbia Undergraduate Research Journal, Columbia Entrepreneurship & Design Studio, and DKA Cinematic Arts Society. In her free time, she loves exploring poetry cafés and iconic film centers in the city while FaceTiming with her beagle, Mr. Murphy.
Houston is studying Neuroscience and intends on pursuing a career in medicine. During his time at Columbia, he has volunteered at various places, such as NY-Presbyterian and NY Academy of Science. On campus, he is a radio programmer in the American Department at WKCR and the treasurer for the Columbia Ski and Snowboard Club. Likewise, he is a research assistant studying essential tremor at Columbia’s Medical Center. In his free time, Houston likes playing music, going on adventures, and going on walks with his dog.
Johnathon is an economics major from Dallas, Texas. During his time at Columbia he studied abroad in Paris and has worked as an LGBT first year mentor, campus tour guide, and orientation leader--and is very bittersweet about having to say goodbye to all these wonderful organizations in the next year. After graduating this spring, he will be working full-time at Morgan Stanley in their compliance division.
Stephanie, originally from Southern California, is pursuing a concentration in human rights and plans to earn a JD/MBA after graduating. She spent two years in community college before transferring to Columbia College in fall of 2017. She is the current co-president of CU UNICEF. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys decorating, graphic design and fashion.
Bryan is a senior from New Jersey and is majoring in history. Previously he has interned at UJA Federation of New York in the nonprofit’s fundraising division. He has formerly served as the Vice President of Columbia Global Brigades’ Dental Brigade and has served as a co-chair for Columbia AMSA’s Global Health Committee. He has also been involved in Columbia/Barnard Hillel, Aryeh, and Alexander Hamilton Society while on campus. In his free time, Bryan enjoys spending time with friends, traveling, and making puns (sometimes to the ire of his friends).
Gloria is an American studies and East Asian languages and cultures double major from Bartlesville, Oklahoma. On campus she is currently Co-Chair of Inclusion & Belonging on the University Life Events Council and a member of the Office of Multicultural Affairs’ Students of Color Advisory Board, Undergraduate and Global Recruitment Committees, NRHH, the Taiwanese American Students Association and Alpha Omicron Pi. Off campus she has previously interned at NBC, CNN and ABC and will be working this fall as an Amazon student ambassador.
Julia Wang is a financial economics major, and is also pursuing a concentration in religion. She grew up in Greenwich, CT, and has spent most of her life on the East Coast. On campus, she served as president of Columbia China Law and Business Association, and is also a senior advisor for Columbia Private Equity Group. In her free time, Julia loves exploring New York City, discovering new music, and spending quality time with her friends. After graduation, Julia will be joining Goldman Sachs full-time in the Investment Banking Division.
Jack is a sociology major from Hohhot, China. As a junior, he spent a year at the LSE in London. Outside of Senior Fund, he is involved in the Global Recruitment Committee, the Varsity Show, as well as the Chinese Students Club. Jack is also a founding team member of ShanghaiPRIDE Film Festival and currently serves as the program director for Shanghai Queer Film Festival. During his free time, he would exhaust what TodayTix has to offer - however financially unsustainable that is.
Jason is a senior from Princeton, NJ, majoring in economics-philosophy and political science. He spent the last year studying abroad at Oxford University, where he was involved in the Finance Society and rowed crew. On campus, he is a member of Pi Delta Psi fraternity.
